We strongly encourage recycling on the Park, please help us to
maintain our high standards by recycling your waste whilst staying with us. We
have carefully looked at the way we conducted
our business, the impact it has on the environment and our
purchasing and waste management policy.
We wish to encourage all our visitors
to follow in our footsteps and do as much as possible to maintain the beautiful
surroundings of Muasdale Holiday Park, the beach, the village and the
whole of Kintyre. We ask that Dog Owners
are especially vigilant about their dogs waste whilst in the village, on the
park, on the beach, not only is it unsightly but can be very dangerous for young
children building sandcastles.
Smokers:
We operate a no smoking policy
in all our accommodation, you may smoke outside your Caravan Holiday Home or the
Apartment, but please dispose of your cigarette ends thoughtfully, as well as
being environmentally unacceptable, they are unsightly on the ground. We
ask that smokers on the touring park dispose of their cigarette ends carefully
as wildlife can be affected by these more easily, as well as being unsightly for
other park users.
-
Apartment: Please
make sure you have cleaned your apartment and emptied your rubbish bins,
especially the kitchen bin before you leave. Recycling bins are near
the apartment.
-
Caravan Holiday Homes:
Please make sure you have emptied your waste bin before leaving and double
check for any litter that may have been dropped by your Caravan Holiday
Home:
-
Tents: Please make sure that you
have cleaned up your pitch and collected all your rubbish before
leaving, especially bits of string, sweet wrappers, crisp packets and cigarette
ends.. We would be most grateful if you would count
your tent pegs as you use them and again when removing them, a stray tent
peg can cause a lot of damage to our ride-on mower as well as a hazard to other
park users.
-
Touring Caravans/Motorhomes: Please
double check your area as you leave for rubbish, if you have been using an awning,
please make sure you have all your awning pegs accounted for, a stray peg
can cause a lot of damage to our ride-on mower as well as a hazard to other park
users.
-
Recycling Bins:
We have special bins for your
recycled rubbish :
Glass Bottles (no broken glass) - black liner.
Drink Cans + Plastic bottles – white liner.
Magazines, Newspapers & Cardboard – blue liner.
NB: Recycling schemes differ from area to area, what may be acceptable in
your area, may not be in this area, please bear this in mind and only put in the
bins what it says on the lids.
- For "ordinary waste" there are wheelie bins.
These bins are located by the Green Pedestrian Gate on the Caravan Holiday Homes
side of the park, because of the gusty conditions at times the wheelie bins
need to kept by the low wall for protection. We have however, built
a special "recycling bin area" for the touring
park to encourage
children to run back and forth with your recycling items.
