There is a garden dedicated to Linda McCartney's memory behind the
Library, entrance is through the old Library building. A sculpture
of Linda holding a lamb on her lap is the main feature of the
garden, with planting around the sculpture, plus another flower
bed, all
beautifully kept. |

One of the plaques behind the sculpture reads:
"Following her passing a group of Linda's friends and
admirers locally, resolved that her memory and her contribution to
Kintyre, where her ashes now rest, should be recognised in a
fitting manner. Thus they decided to form a small charitable
trust, the Linda McCartney Kintyre Memorial Trust, in order to
create this memorial garden in her memory." |

Davaar Island, which sits at the
mouth of the harbour, can be reached by a causeway when the tide is
low, in the 7th cave on the right of the Island there is a painting
of the Crucifixion. Tide times can be obtained from the Tourist
Information Centre, which is open all year round.
