Muasdale Holiday Park History

Muasdale Holiday Park was started by Richard and Margaret Semple during the 1960's.

Margaret still lives in the village and enjoys telling us about the times they experienced as proprietors. She ran a small tea-room in the cottage (now our private residence) and Richard had a "shop" for everything in the "games room".

We think this postcard was printed in the 60's.

Their visitors became friends and Margaret & Richard watched the children grow up, now the children are bringing their children to experience the delights of Muasdale and in turn have become our friends too.

With the aid of the internet, Muasdale has become more accessible to others, but the uniqueness of its location and the relaxing pace still abounds. Nothing has changed (except the Caravan Holiday Homes) the stunning views remain - the same unobstructed views - with wildlife in abundance, a bird watchers paradise.

Those that stay on the Touring Park have the unique opportunity of using their tourer, motorhome or tent as a "hide". Those staying in the Caravan Holiday Homes or the Apartments still have the same stunning views and all enjoy amazing sunsets.
