Muasdale Holiday Park is situated in a unique
location on the west coast of the beautiful Kintyre
Peninsula, Scotland. It has superb views over the Atlantic and the
Islands of Gigha, Jura and Islay with the opportunity of stunning sunsets.
Campbeltown, the nearest town, is just 15
miles away, where you will find two supermarkets, the Tourist Information Centre,
banks and many individual shops. Ferry
terminals for Arran, Gigha, Islay and Jura are close by making
Muasdale an ideal location for island hopping.
The park offers 4 Caravan Holiday Homes.

and 3 bedrooms) The Jura Apartment and Holiday Homes are
fully
equipped with all that you need for a self-catering holiday. Spectacular sea views of
the islands Gigha, Islay
and Jura from all windows. Ideal location for Bird Watchers and
the family - various birds can been seen from the park and on the beach.
There is a games room/laundry on
site available to all visitors.
There is plenty to see and do in Kintyre. Swimming is possible from any of
the sandy beaches around the peninsula and in the Award Winning Indoor
Swimming Pool at the Aqualibrium Centre in Campbeltown. Walking, sailing, fishing,
surfing, horse riding, visiting the different Islands and
distilleries are all on offer.

Way walking route from Tarbert to Dunaverty, offers an
opportunity to discover more of Kintyre's stunning scenery, the
route may be walked in sections or completed over several
days.
Diving is possible from many bays
around the peninsula, compressed air is available locally.
Small boats, dinghies and canoes can be launched from Muasdale
beach. Please remember it is the Atlantic and weather and tide direction can
change suddenly.

Surfing/Body-Boarding: Westport
beach, offers a decent break with waves rolling in from the
Atlantic unimpeded by the islands or Ireland, is a few minutes
drive from the site. Because it is relatively unknown, there is
rarely more than a handful of people in the water. If Westport is not working, the southern end of Machrihanish
frequently is. Machrihanish

Golf courses: Machrihanish is famous for its 1st Hole which is rated by Jack Nicklaus as
the "World's Greatest opening hole" is nearby. There are also
golf courses at Carradale, Dunaverty, Gigha and Tarbert.
Horse Riding is available at Glenbarr and Tarbert. Fly-fishing
can be done at many of the lochs nearby with sea fishing available
on our doorstep.
The Isle of Gigha, is well known for it's famous gardens and is only a 20 minute ferry
crossing from Tayinloan which is 4 miles from Muasdale. This
island has recently been in the news as it's residents have bought the
island and are currently raising funds towards the final figure.
Davaar Island (which lies in the mouth of Campbeltown Loch) can be visited
when the tide is low via a causeway, in one of the caves a painting of the
Crucifixion can be seen. Tide times available in Reception or at the
Tourist Information Centre in Campbeltown.
