Sit and relax beside your unit/tent overlooking the Atlantic.  With a peaceful beach you will be able to watch wildlife in abundance, oystercatchers will keep you entertained with their unique call.  Stunning sea views of isles of Gigha, Islay and Jura.  If you are lucky you might even seen some dolphins.  Seals and otters are quite often seen on the reef just offshore, be sure to pack your camera and/or binoculars.

  • Small Touring Park:  An almost level grass field with 10 pitches and direct access to the beach, offering unobstructed views of the Atlantic and the isles of  Gigha  Islay and Jura with glorious sunsets weather permitting.

  • 2012 Prices

  • The pitches are used by Touring Caravans, Campervans, Trailer Tent, Tents, small/medium size Motorhomes, we are unable to accept RV's over 30ft.  NB:  No separate field for tents.

  • Electricity: All pitches have electric hook-up which is included in the price for use by Tourer, Campervans, Trailer Tents or Tents.  There is an option for pitches without electric if required, during low to mid season only.

  • Deposit:  Pitches may be reserved with a non refundable deposit of £20 (per week/part week - per pitch) during low to high season.  Holidays for high season (Bank Holidays, July and August) will require the balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.

  • Last minute bookings for Bank Holidays, July and August - full payment by debit or credit card is required.

  • Booking Form  This may be completed and e-mailed to us. Word Format, save under a different name, press Insert key to switch off Overtype, complete and e-mail to us.

  • All bookings subject to Terms and Conditions.  Please read before booking.

  • New Amenities block (no coin metered showers)

  • Tourers:  As the pitches are used by Tourers, Motorhomes, Campervans, or Tents, it is important that you use a breathable ground sheet in your awning to help the grass recover quickly.  Sorry no gazebos.

  • Tents:  Pitches are approx 28ft (8.5m) wide, fire regulations advise there has to be approx 20ft (6m) space between tents.  Tents over approx 12ft (3.5m) wide will need 2 pitches to accommodate these regulations.
    Tents should have strong poles
as they may not stand up to the gusty winds we get occasionally.

  • Recycling:  We are aware of the impact our business may have on the environment and would ask all visitors to recycle as much of their waste as possible during their stay with us.

  • Dogs: Well behaved dogs are most welcome, please keep on a lead if they will not stay by your unit.
We do not have a dog walk area as they have access to the beach anytime.  From Spring to mid July please ensure you walk them along the tide line, to allow wading birds to nest undisturbed, it would be appreciated if you could keep them to heel whilst on the beach, without a lead will be fine as long as they don't go chasing after wildlife.

  • BBQ's and Campfires - BBQ's are allowed on the touring park, please make sure they are off the ground (especially the disposable ones).  Campfires may be lit on the beach - please check wind direction before lighting to ensure the smoke is blown away from the touring park and other visitors.

  • Weekend breaks: Departure time is normally 12 noon, however, on a Sunday the departure time may be extended to 4pm provided the pitch is not required. You must advise us when booking in that you would like to use this facility and we will see if we can accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee this option.
We regret we cannot offer this facility during June, July and August.

  • Walks:  There are plenty of walks around Kintyre.   Those of you thinking of completing the Kintyre Way, we are just a few miles from Tayinloan and perfectly located for a central base.

  • Location:  There are several Tarbert's in Scotland, please check with our maps, google maps or a road Atlas before booking.  If using GPS our postcode is PA29 6XD

  • Mains Water Supply
